The congress of anti-Semites originally scheduled to be held in Czernowitz but which was forbidden by the Government from convening there will be held at Kimpolung, Bukowina, instead.
Announcement of the new place of meeting of the Jew-baiters was made by Professor Cuza, the leader of the agitators, immediately following the Government’s decree forbidding the gathering in Czernowitz.
Bukowina Jews are sharply protesting against the meeting in their territory, and have sent a deputation to Bucharest to lay their protests before the Government.
The anti-Semites are boasting that they count 8,000 soldiers among their members, and the feeling among the Jews is that the meeting of the anti-Semites will hardly end without disturbances.
Although the Government quickly put an end to the anti-Semites’ hopes of meeting in Czernowitz, it seems to be going very slowly about taking any steps to forbid the same gathering in Bukowina.
