An attack on a rabbi, a passenger on a Roumanian train, is reported by the Roumanian paper, “Egalitatea.”

Rabbi Isaac Welech of Breaza was a passenger on a train going from Dornahelgie to Clausenburg. He was surrounded by students, who hit him in the face with their fists and forced him to shout, “Long live Cuza.” They also made him dance to the tune of “Ma Yophis.”

Officials on the train refused to intervene to stop the outrage.
