The Royal Roumanian Consulate General in New York released yesterday the following official su##ary of the speeches delivered by Dr. William Filderman and Rabbi ###### at the July 25th session of the Roumanian Parliament.
In the name of the Roumanian Jews. representative Filderman president of the Union of Roumanian Jews declared; “If all Roumanian citizens united in their love for the throne. bring their bomage to the mernory of our great King, we the Jews of Roumanian. have special morives in glorifying Him forever. It was He who. in 1917. at Jassy, said that He had arrived at the conclusion that all the inhabitants of the country should be treated with equality, without distinction of religion and in the highest spirit of fraternity. Before the country and the throne. the Jewish population declare that they will continue to fulfill their duty in the sp##it of the work accomplished by the alorious King Ferdinand. The Jewish population will always be found in the ranks of those who surround with their affection and devotion King Michael the First for the happiness and glory of the Fatherland.”
The Jewish Senator. Rabbi Nie##rover. declared: “The act of emancipation of the Roumanian Jews will forever be linked with the name of King Ferdinand. This ##t has placed the Jewish population of Roumania, from a point of view of richts and ob##ations on the same footing of equality with the other Roumanians. In the name of all the Jews. I ## ## ### of profound ##atitnde for the alorious King Ferdinand. and at this s## hour when we ### our condolences to our revered Queen we take the #ath of fide## to His Ma## King Michael”
