Paving the way for the entry of the non-Zionists in Roumania into the Jewish Agency, a resolution was introduced into the Bucharest Kehillah by Dr. William Filderman and former Senator Bercovici, that the Kehillah officially welcome the creation of the extended Jewish Agency.
The resolution also called for the annual allotment of a subsidy in the amount of 250,00 Lei from the Kehillah budget for the Palestine Foundation Fund. The amount constitutes one-tenth of the Bucharest Kehillah budget. An appeal to the Jewish population to contribute toward the Keren Hayesod was also to be issued.
Action on the motion was postponed in order to ascertain what form the subsidy is to assume.
