A protest meeting called under the auspices of the Union of Roumanian Jews was prohibited today by the Bucharest police.
The meeting was called in connection with the day of mourning proclaimed by the Rabbinate because of the desecration of synagogues and Holy Scrolls in the anti-Jewish riots.
