The Royal Commission on Palestine has rejected plans for partition of the country between Jews and Arabs, and postponed any final solution of the problem, according to a dispatch from London published in the “Arab” newspaper Adifa today.
According to the paper, the commission will recommend for the time being establishment of a Legislative Council with wide jurisdiction, reserving the right of vote to the British Colonial Secretary, and that the immigration of Jews be restricted.
It is also asserted that High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, will conclude his term in September, and that he will then be granted a title by King George.
