The Reich government has decided to extend the Reich flight tax law, says the Juedische Runschau, German Zionist organ. The text of the new law has not yet been announced but the official pronouncements give a preliminary view which is of importance especially to Palestine emigrants, the paper reports.
The free margin has been reduced from 200,000 marks to 50,000 marks, the paper says, and those who on January 1, 1928, or January 1, 1931, possessed taxable property exceeding 50,000 marks will become liable to payment of flight tax.
