The Rumanian Cabinet today rejected a pension will which included provisions for safeguarding the rights of widows and orphans of Jews killed by the Nazis and of families of Jews who died or were disabled in deportation camps. The move was made on the grounds that there are no funds available.

Jewish organizations here announced that they intend to start action to reopen cabinet discussions of the bill. They insist that the provisions of the bill pertaining to pensions for the Jews must be carried out since promises to this effect were made by the government to Jewish leaders just prior to last year’s elections.
