The United Rumanian Jews of America sent a cable to King Carol appealing to him to protect the Jews, called an emergency conference Jan. 16 to plan a program of action in behalf of the Rumanian Jews and cancelled a dinner scheduled for Jan. 9 because of developments in Rumania.
