The Rumanian Government has allocated 900 tons of wheat for Passover matzohs for the Jewish population, it was announced here today. The wheat will be processed in various points throughout the country, and the entire operation will be under the supervision of the rabbinate.
The state alcohol monopoly has prepared large quantities of kosher wine for use during the holiday. All charitable institutions will receive the matzohs and wine free of charge, while the remainder of the population will pay a nominal fee for them.
