The Central Council of the Jews of Rumania today issued an appeal to the Rumanian people, asking or justice to the Jews and a check on the growing anti-Semitic propaganda.
Directing itself to the conscience of the public, the appeal points out that the Jews have lived in Rumania for many centuries and are neither aliens nor enemies of the country.
Simultaneously an appeal was issued by the council to the nation’s Jews calling upon them to maintain their discipline and loyalty to the country.
