Russian President Boris Yeltsin may travel to the West Bank in January to mark the Eastern Orthodox celebration of Christmas, according to Yasser Arafat. The Palestinian Authority president made the comment during a visit to Moscow after speaking with Yeltsin by telephone. Yeltsin canceled a planned meeting with Arafat because of illness, and Arafat met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin instead.
