The Russian student, Devinsohn, of the Medical Academy in Leningrad, committed suicide today by hanging himself.
He was a son of a well-known orthodox Jewish family in Leningrad, and had been expelled from the university as a result of the new Soviet law, excluding all non-proletarians from the universities.
