Sovietish Heimland, Russia’s Yiddish-language monthly, marked the 25th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising with poems, memoirs and an evaluation of the event in which some 40,000 Jewish men, women and children held off the Nazi army for a month. The magazine published Hirsh Glick’s ghetto poem, “Say This is Not the Final Road,” and a chapter from the late Prof, Ber Mark’s book, “The Revolt of the Ghetto of Warsaw.”
