As the guilty leaders in a Jewish pogrom in Homel, January 13, 1906, Ivan Davidov has been sentenced to death, Sergei Makosevsky to eight year, an Yefim Katchanov to five years in prison. They were only recently recognized in Homel and arrested. The trial lasted six days and evidence established that they were executive members of the Czarist organization “Soyus Russkago Naroda.” Among the 50 witnesses against them were six Jews who suffered during the Homel pogrom 24 years ago.
