Dr. Saul R. Landau, journalist and veteran Zionist, recently celebrated his seventieth birthday in London, where he found refuge after escaping from Vienna following Hitler’s seizure of Austria in March, 1938. Born in Krakow, Dr. Landau edited several Jewish newspapers in Vienna. He collaborated with Theodore Herzl in the early years of Zionism and edited the Zionist organ Die Welt.
