Congressman Sabath considers the Registration Law as the most backward and dangerous law ever contemplated because it would harass, annoy and embarrass not only the resident aliens but also the millions of foreign born naturalized citizens and would also cause the formation of another huge spy system at tremendous cost to our government, and which would no doubt follow the footsteps of present prohibition spies and snoopers, opening a new avenue for corruption, extortion and blackmail to which millions of foreign born will be subject.
