A plan to establish a farm cooperative on a strictly religious basis was announced here today by the Sabbath Observance Council. The farm would begin to function within three months, the announcement said.
The Council will also consider plans for the opening of a Hebrew-English school for children and a night school for adults on the farm, the announcement stated. The by laws of the cooperative pledge to “fully uphold and practice American democratic laws in accordance with the Bill of Rights, uphold the Hebrew traditional Sabbath and holidays along with all legal holidays, and Hebrew dietary regulations.”
