Salo Wissmann, for the last ten years president of the United Jewish Appeal in this city, died here at the age of 65. Born in Germany, Mr. Wissmann came here in 1923. He was founder of several of the oldest local Jewish organizations and institutions, and was also president of the Keren Hayesod here.
