Fresh samples of Soviet crude oil have arrived here to be tested for suitability for refinement in the Haifa distillation plants, it was reported today.
The last batch of crude oil samples were rejected, but this shipment is understood to meet requirements for processing in Israel’s plants. Considerable quantities of Soviet oil have been purchased by Israel in exchange for citrus fruits sold to the Russians.
