Samuel to Intercede Against Soviet Persecutions

Sir Herbert Samuel assured a delegation of rabbis here that while in England he will exert his best influences to have the British government intercede with the Soviet towards the ending of the persecution of religions there.

The High Commissioner told the rabbis that he is always ready to remove obstructions in the way of rabbis from Russia who are seeking to settle in Palestine.
