April 28 has been set as the opening date for the city-wide campaign to be waged to raise the funds needed for the erection and equipment of the proposed new Jewish Community Center, according to Harold L. Zellerbach, campaign director.
The amount required is $650,000. May 9 has been set as the closing date of the drive. With support of the center movement coming from every element of the community, it is hoped that the goal of the campaign will be reached.
The center will provide facilities for educational, religious, recreational and social activities of more than 30 groups of every element of local Jewry.
