The Saudi Arabian Government, which has been pressing an anti-Jewish boycott by prohibiting Saudi Arabians from doing business with Jewish firms, will not apply the boycott to Italian nationals of the Jewish faith, it was learned today.
Action of the Italian Foreign Ministry, which notified the Saudi Arabians that Italian chambers of commerce would be unable to issue any certificates implying racial discrimination, led to the new Saudi Arabian position. The legation here announced that in the future it will be satisfied with a “certificate of origin” stating that the goods under shipment to Saudi Arabia were produced in Italy.
