The Palestine government is contemplating an income tax, according to information conveyed to the Jewish National Council by its Revisionists members. They point out that such a tax would be a particular hardship on industrialists and professional people who are already bearing a heavy burden in indirect taxation.

The neighboring countries of Iraq and Egypt have been considering the imposition of an income tax but have thus far hesitated to carry it into effect.
