The defense will conclude its case by the end of next week, Horace Samuel, London attorney who is defending Abraham Stavsky and Zvi Rosenblatt, Revisionist Zionists accused of murdering Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, declared today.
Forty-seven defense witnesses still remain to be called, he informed the court. Today marks the end of the fifth week of the trial. Court officials declare that this will make it possible to end the case early in June.
Samuel’s announcement was hailed with satisfaction by all those interested in the trial, since the extremely hot weather makes it difficult to carry on.
All the defense witnesses called today were from Kfar Saba and testified that Rosenblatt was at a meeting in the colony on the night Dr. Arlosoroff was killed. They were unanimous in declaring that Rosenblatt was at the meeting in Kfar Saba and that he was one of the main speakers that evening.
Joshuah Glicksman, who was chairman of the meeting and several others who were present and participated in the meeting testified.
