Important questions as to the interpretation of the Palestine Mandate under which the British government is protecting Palestine as a home for the Jews, have been raised by the majority report of the Inquiry Commission, says the political correspondent of the “Daily Mail.” Those who have seen the report, he writes, say that a direct issue is raised as to the future policy which will have to be given urgent attention by the government.

He also points out that there is a likelihood of considerable discussion as to “the anti-Zionist bias” of the majority of the commissioners. The “Mail’s” correspondent also says that the report contains some very definite views as to the causes of the disorders and that the Commission’s decision as to the responsibility for the outrages will necessitate consideration being given to questions of policy and definite instructions to the High Commissioner.
