Scandinavian Airline Halts Service to Israel After Arab Threats

Scandinavian Airways has for a second time diverted one of its planes from Lydda to Cyprus because of Arab threats to fire on any planes crossing their territory en route to Israel, it was learned here today.

This is the second foreign airline to cut its service to Israel as a result of Arab action. Earlier, the Philippine Airlines shifted its Middle East operations from Lydda to Beirut.
