Scores of non-Jewish Masons joined in a good will service at Temple Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun here. Most of the Masonic lodges of the city were represented.

In a sermon to the large mixed audience of Jews and Christians, Rabbi Joseph L. Baron described Judaism and Freemasonry as among the main surviving bulwarks of liberty. He pointed out both believed in immortality and both taught priciples of love and service. The Jewish religion and the Masonic movement have fought for freedom from tyrannies throughout history, Rabbi Baron added.

A musical service followed. The event was arranged by Harmony lodge of the Masons, a predominantly Jewish chapter.
