The Daily Express reported today that Scotland Yard’s Special Branch drew up plans at top-level talks yesterday to prevent a “holy war” between Arabs and Jews from spreading to Britain. The paper said that security precautions have been tightened at Jewish and Israel-owned premises in the country following Monday’s bomb blast in the Regent Street office of Israel’s Zim Lines. The Express said in an editorial that it must be made clear to Arabs and Israelis that any terrorist caught in Britain will be punished.
