A scroll of the law containing the entire five books of Moses, was consecrated formally this afternoon at the Congregation Sharah Tefila, here.
The dedication of the scroll of the law, the gift of Haiman Barrett, pioneer Indianapolis merchant and leader in Jewish activities, was marked by an inspiring ceremony, the occasion having the spirit of a wedding symbolizing the close association of the scroll of the law to the synagogue.
Rabbi Samuel A. Katz, leader of the congregation, spoke at the consecration ceremonies.
