Israel’s second oil field has been discovered at Negba, five miles north of the Heletz oil field which is already supplying 10 pe recent of the country’s petroleum consumption, it was reported here today.
Lapidot Israel Oil Prospectors, Ltd. disclosed that the strike in the new field was made at the Negba 3 drill at a depth of 5, 000 feet. A company spokesman said that arrangements would be made immediately to tap the new find before the end of the month.
