The protests of Jewish and non-Jewish organizations today forced the second cancellation of a scheduled speech by Xavier Vallat, notorious anti-Semite who served as Commissioner for Jewish Affairs in the Vichy Government, established under the Nazi occupation of France.
Last week M. Vallat was scheduled to address a public meeting in Toulon and yesterday he was advertised as a speaker in Nice. The popular protests forced a change in plans.
