Secretary of State Dean Acheson said at his press conference this week-end what there has been no charge on his position that the arming of the Arab states is desirable.

Asked if there has been any revision in his stand, Mr. Acheson replied that he did not think so, quite emphatically pronouncing these words. Diplomatic sources saw this as the answer to the American Zionist Council’s protest of last week against the shipment of munitions by Pritain to Egypt and other Arab countries.
