Sections of the wall around the Temple Mount are in danger of collapsing. Engineering tests conducted by the Antiquities Authority on the southern wall of the Temple Mount have shown that sections are in intermediate stages of collapse, according to the Jerusalem Post. Israeli officials attribute this to construction work carried out by the Wakf, or Muslim religious trust, to develop an underground mosque on the site of Solomon’s Stables on the Temple Mount.
