A Jewish inmate of San Quentin Penitentiary is a free man today and his ex-fellow prisoners are saying that his Jewish God influenced the Supreme Court to reverse the decision which caused his sentence.
Recently Rabbi Rudolph I. Coffee, president of the Jewish Committee for Personal Service, presented a Sefer Torah (Scroll of the Law) to the prisoners. Soon after this prisoner presented an Ark of the Covenant to hold the scroll. It had been constructed at his suggestion by him and fellow Jewish prisoners.
