After a stormy all-night session, the Jewish members of the Municipal Council, joined by the members of the Government party, the Socialist party and the Christian party and the Christian Democratic party, walked out of the hall, leaving no quorum for the National Democrats to carry out their proposal that all Jewish employes in municipal institutions be dismissed.
