The adoption or even the threat by the Palestine Arabs to adopt Ghandi’s policy of civil disobedience and non-cooperation would be the height of folly, the “Near East and India” writes in its current issue in commenting on suggestion made to the Arab Executive to utilize Ghandi’s plan.
Pointing to the failure of such plan in Egypt, “Near East and India” declares that “when the Arabs are eagerly awaiting the return of the High Commissioner because they hope he will bring with him a new constitutional scheme which will give the Arabs a greater share in the country’s administration, to adopt or even threaten to adopt Ghandi’s attitude would be the height of folly”.
