Funeral services were held here yesterday for Lewis J. Selznick, film pioneer, who succumbed at the age of sixty-seven, following an illness of six months.
The funeral rites were held in the little chapel of the B’nai Brith. Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin officiated.
He was the organizer of the Lewis Selznick Pictures Corporation, retiring from the film industry several years ago. He developed a number of leading screen personalities.
Mr. Selznick was born of Russian Jewish parentage and brought up on the East Side of New York.
His widow and three sons survive him.
