United States Senator J. W. Fulbright, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, arrived here this afternoon. He came from Jordan, via the Mandelbaum Gate between the Israeli and the Jordanian sectors of Jerusalem.
Immediately after his arrival, Sen. Fulbright went into conference with Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, The latter returned here a day earlier from his home at Sdeh Boker to receive the American Senator.
Mr. Fulbright is scheduled to spend 36 hours in Israel. Tomorrow he will be taken on a tour of the southern region, through the Negev area, then to the north, through Galilee, In the evening, he will be entertained at dinner at the home of Foreign Minister Golda Meir. Mr. Ben-Gurion will be among the guests at this event.
