Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) told American Jewish leaders Wednesday that he sees the Palestinians making only about a 10 percent effort to halt violence against Israel. Just two days after announcing that he will run in the Democratic presidential primaries in 2004, Lieberman addressed the American Jewish community’s umbrella organization, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. He called on the Bush administration to be more involved in trying to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
