The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee announced today that it has voted to refer to the full committee without recommendation a compromise bill designed to speed immigration under the 1953 Refugee Relief Act as urged by President Eisenhower.
Sen. Langer, subcommittee chairman, reserved for the time being details of the bill. The decision to refer it without recommendation was announced following a closed subcommittee meeting at which the vote was taken.
