The Senate Foreign Relations Committee late today approved by a vote of 13 to two a $3,408,000,000 foreign aid bill that included an estimated $30,000,000 in economic assistance for Israel in the fiscal year of 1956.
The measure contained funds to continue assistance for another year. Chairman Walter F. George, Georgia Democrat, said the committee voted the same amount of new money as asked by the President plus a re-authorization of certain types of military aid for Europe. It is expected that the bill will be debated on the Senate floor next week.
