A Senate Judiciary Subcommittee today postponed until a later date action on the nomination of Judge Simon E. Sobeloff to be Solicitor General of the United States.
No one appeared in opposition to Judge Sobeloff’s nomination at the subcommittee’s session today and testimony was so flattering that Sen. William Langer, chairman, ruled that a transcript of the testimony be sent to Mrs. Sobeloff.
Judge Sobeloff, Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, was nominated for the post of Solicitor General by President Eisenhower last month.
