United States Senator William H. King will be the principal speaker at the twenty-fifth annual meeting of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), on February 4, at the Hotel Astor, New York City, it was announced yesterday. Senator King will discuss immigration problems with particular reference to conditions in Germany and the refugee situation arising therefrom.
Among the other speakers will be Abraham Cahan, editor of the Forward; Jacob Fishman, managing editor of the Jewish Morning Journal; Dr. Samuel Margoshes, editor of The Day, and John L. Bernstein, chairman of the Hias committee on work in foreign countries. Abraham Herman, president, will present the annual report.
