Sen. Abraham A. Ribicoff, Connecticut Democrat arrived in Israel today for a 10-day visit. He said the official part of his visit was connected with a study of the aid which Israel receives from the United States and the assistance Israel provides to developing countries.
The senator will meet with Premier Levi Eshkol, Foreign Minister Golds Meir, Chief of Staff Gen. Yitzhak Rabin and leading economists. “There are things which the United States can learn from Israel which have found ways to the hearts of African states and gives Africans aid efficiently,” he said, adding that personally he was interested in education and welfare problems in Israel.
