Senior Palestinian police officials are being sent to the Gaza Strip for a possible confrontation with Hamas. The goal is to improve the organization of the P.A. security forces in the Gaza Strip in case of heightened tensions with Hamas. Hamas and P.A. officials have been negotiating since clashes last week, when Hamas members killed the head of the P.A. riot police.
