The two months sentence imposed by the Court of Appeal upon Shmuel Wulfin, Jewish student, convicted of a part in the events leading to the death of a Christian student killed in the anti-Semitic excesses here last autumn, stands as no appeal against the sentence was entered within the time limit set.
The Court of Appeal reversed the verdict of a lower court which previously had sentenced Wulfin to two years’ imprisonment.
Eugene Smiarowski, a member of the staff of counsel for Wulfin, died at the age of fifty-four.
