Hubert Jecny was sentenced hero today to one year imprisonment for anti-Semitic activities carried out during the Nazi occupation. Jecny was found guilty of publishing anti-Semitic articles and broadcasting inciting report on the Prague radio.
She Jewish cemetery here was the scene of a burial service today for 180 scrolls if the Torah stolen from Dutch Jewish communities by the Nazis. Dr. A. Sicher, chief rabbi of Prague, officiated at the service, which was attended by a large number of local Jewish residents, as will as two representatives of the Jewish community in the Netherlands. The scrolls had been mutilated by the Nazis beyond possible repair.
