The Sephardic Kehillah here today celebrated its 40th anniversary at a colorful ceremony in the Sephardic Synagogue, presided over by Yomtov Semaria.
Representatives of the Ashkenazic community, of the Israeli legation, and of DAIA, all-Argentine representative body of Jewry, greeted the Sephardic Kehillah during the celebration. Medals were awarded to two members of the Kehillah who are the only survivors of the first Sephardic minyan formed here 40 years ago.
