A Jewish resident of Kiryat Malachi was arrested for questioning late Tuesday night in connection with the stoning of an Arab taxi earlier that evening.
According to Itim, the Israeli news agency, the taxi driver complained to police that his cab was stoned from a passing vehicle as he drove north from the Gaza Strip along the Kiryat Malachi-Ashkelon road. The driver provided a description of the vehicle, which led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Jew.
